2008 Lubbock Chamber of Commerce Annual Membership Meeting

It has been a great year for the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce, being named Chamber of the Year by the American Chamber of Commerce Executives, hitting a milestone of 10,000 lives in the Chamber Employer Health Plan, and Hispanic Business Division forming as a result of the joining of Lubbock Hispanic Chamber with the Lubbock Chamber, just to name a few. We have quite a list of accomplishments and achievements to celebrate this year and it’s all due to our members!

We would like to invite you to join us as we celebrate our great year during our Annual Membership Meeting on Tuesday, December 2 at 11:30 a.m. at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center.

In addition to celebrating the Chamber’s accomplishments we will recognize and honor several members for their service and volunteerism to the Chamber and the community during the Chamber’s Annual Membership Meeting. This year's award recipients are:

Ambassador of the Year – Mary C. Whistler, U.S. Representative Randy Neugebauer
Volunteer of the Year – Jim Gerlt, Bacon Heights Baptist Church
Business Person of the Year – Monica Hightower, Cornerstone Group, Inc.
Business of the Year – Parkhill, Smith & Cooper, Inc.
Hispanic Business of the Year - Montelongo’s Mexican Restaurant
Business Person Hall of Fame – Jack Alderson
Business Hall of Fame – Plains Cotton Cooperative Association
Parental Partner Award 2007-08 School Year - Andrea Higdon, nominated by Waters Elementary
